When you come to Alicante and start your courses with us, in order to begin all required paperwork to register for PCE exams and apply for University entry. You must bring the following original documents with you:

  • High School transcripts (at least the last three years).
  • High school report card with final/average grades.
  • Official High School diploma.
  • Passport or ID for EU citizens or the International Student Card.

Once in Spain, you will need to ask for a legal sworn/certified translation of these documents in order for us to be able to apply to the Spanish Ministry of Education for your High School equivalence on your behalf.

Preparation classes for PCE exams for University entry will be taught in Spanish and start in January. Therefore, it is essential to have an excellent knowledge of the Spanish Language. The preparation classes for the PCE exam will take place in the afternoons in Alicante city centre, not on campus, and the official exams will take place in May at the UNED centre in Elche.

Essential for non-EU citizens:

Remember that official documents must be legalized and require a sworn/certifie translation into Spanish.

Legalization done with The Hague Convention Apostille is the easiest way, however, not all countries offer it. While The Hague Convention Apostille may be requested in countries such as Russia or the USA, in other countries, such as Algeria you have to apply for a consular legalization.

To obtain further information, check the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website for further information about legalizations and/or about sworn/certified translations.

In summary, these are the steps you must follow:

  1. Legalize your documents ((The Hague Convention Apostille or Consular legalization)
  2. Obtain a sworn/certified translation of your documents by a sworn/certified translator in Spain
