In order to make it easy for you to study Spanish while you are doing a degree at Alicante University, we have the Study Abroad programme. We only offer the Visiting Students’ Programme to Spanish speakers from Spain and Latin America.
Regulation
Visiting students are subject to the Visiting Students' Regulation approved by Alicante University Governing Council on 27th May 2010.
Application area
- National or foreign university students.
- You will be able to do the following university studies:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent
- Postgraduate degree, when the student already has an Undergraduate degree or equivalent
- Type of registration: special
- Students will not be allow to combine undergraduate studies and postgraduate studies.
- Standard registration will be able to be combined with special registration.
- Duration: a maximum of one academic year
- Number of credits:
- a maximum of 30 credits per term and a minimum of 3 subjects.
- a maximum of 60 credits per academic year and a minimum of 7 subjects.
Assessment and certifications
Visiting students will receive an academic certification with the number of the studied credits and the corresponding grades.
Rights and obligations
Visiting students:
- Will not be able to participate in Alicante University Alicante representation and governing bodies
- Will not be able to apply for official grants and scholarships for the subjects studie
- Once registration fees has been paid, they will be refunded
Academic requirements
Visiting students will have prove that they are undergraduate or postgraduate university students by submitting the followin documents.
Medical insurance
Visiting students need to have a medical health and accident insurance policy during their stay at Alicante University.
Visiting students are responsible for:
- Choosing the subjects corresponding to the stay period at Alicante University.
- Registering at Alicante University during the established time frame.
- If they need an invitation letter: in the event of not registering officially at Alicante University, we will inform the corresponding in order for the registration to be cancelled.
Degrees’s dates at Alicante University
- PRE-REGISTRATION period at Alicante University:
- Until 18th July, 2025 for 1st term or hole year students who have not been regular students at the Alicante University.
- From 8th September to 12th December 2025 for 2nd term students.
- REGISTRATION period at Alicante University:
- 1st term: from 8th to 23rd September 2025
- 2nd term: from 26th January to 10th February 2026
- Classes sessions at Alicante University:
- 1st term: from 8th September to 23rd December, 2025 (Exam period: 07/01/2026 - 24/01/2026).
- 2nd term: from 26th January to 22nd May, 2026 (Exam period: 27/05/2026 – 16/06/2026).
- Vacations and holidays:
- 1st term: from 24th December 2025 to 6th January 2026, 9th y 12th October 2025, 1st November 2025, 6th and 8th December 2025
- 2nd term: from 2nd April to 13th April 2026, 16th and 17th April 2026, 19th March 2026, 1st May 2026, from 22nd to 24th June 2026
VERY IMPORTANT:
Classes will be in person during the academic year. Continuous assessment.Registration
- The registration on the selected subjects will take place after the students arrive at Alicante University.
- The students will not be able to register on courses which are not offered.

- EU students: €36,00 per credit registered
- Non-EU students: €72,00 per credit registered
- Other fees:

Registration payment
Once you have registered, you will receive a payment receipt which you will have to pay for. The payment will be made within the established time frame.
