AULAS: General Terms and Conditions

1. Attendance
Students must maintain a minimum of 80% attendance to take the final course exam.

2. Level Change
During the first sessions of the course, the AULAS teaching staff may advise students to change levels to ensure they get the most out of the courses. Changes will be carried out with the approval of the teaching staff and the Head of Studies.

3. Assessment
Students must complete the tasks set by the teaching staff by the established dates throughout the course. Additionally, to pass the course, students will take both a written and an oral test at the end of the course, which will determine their final grade. A grade of PASS will be awarded if an average of at least 60% of the total possible score is achieved. If a score of 50% is not reached in two or more parts of the exam, the total average will not be calculated, and the grade will be FAIL. Each AULAS course has a single assessment process: students take a one-time exam at the end of the course within the scheduled dates. There are no make-up dates or additional exam sessions.

4. Student Support
The office hours schedule will be posted on the door of the Faculty Room and on the website (Faculty and Tutorials).

5. Official Exams
The AULAS preparation courses for official exams from the University of Cambridge, the Goethe Institute, the French Ministry of Education, and IELTS do not in any case correspond to the official certificate granted by the aforementioned institutions. These qualifications are obtained solely by taking the independent exam at the corresponding examination center.

6. Students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Students with SEN must inform both the teaching staff and the Student Support Center so that appropriate measures can be taken for the smooth running of the course.

7. UA Scholarship Students
Students benefiting from UA scholarships are obliged to comply with attendance rules and complete assessment tests. If they do not meet these requirements, the university has the right to request the refund of the scholarship.
The applicant agrees to pay the course tuition (€300) in the event of resignation, withdrawal, failure to meet attendance requirements (80%), or failure to take the assessment tests, except when the withdrawal or resignation occurs during the first week of the course. The university will notify the beneficiary of this circumstance so that they may proceed with the payment of the claimed amount.
  For more information see: https://www.boua.ua.es/es/acuerdo/63221

8. Refunds
  • Students who communicate their withdrawal from the course in writing during the registration period will be refunded 90% of the course fee.
  • Once the registration period has ended, no amount will be refunded.
  • ATTENTION: A minimum number of enrolled students is required to open a group. The full payment will only be refunded in the event of cancellation of a group by AULAS.
All courses have a limited number of places. Registration will be carried out strictly in order of arrival of duly completed applications.
