- As the course is tailored to the specific needs of the requesting institutions, the price, number of participants, dates, and timetable are subject to the requirements and context of the respective institution.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
If the student decides to cancel the contracted course/term BEFORE it begins, the University of Alicante’s Centre for Languages will issue the following refunds:
- If the cancellation request is submitted in writing 30 days before the start of the contracted period: a 100% refund minus €60 for administrative fees.
- If the cancellation request is submitted in writing 7 days before the start of the contracted period: a 50% refund.
No refunds will be issued outside the established timeframes.
Refunds for academic reasons
The University of Alicante’s Centre for Languages requires a minimum number of students in order to open a group. If this minimum is not met, the full course fee will be refunded.
CANCELLATION BY THE STUDENT ON GROUNDS OF FORCE MAJEURE
As a general rule, cancelling a course’s registration, cancelling an activity’s registration, or cancelling the accommodation application will not imply being reimbursed of the amounts paid. Only due to decease or severe illness or accident will students be entitled to the reimbursement of the proportional part of the service which they will not be provided for.
CANCELLATION BY THE CENTRE ON GROUNDS OF FORCE MAJEURE
If the Language Centre cancels a service, students will be informed as far in advance as possible and the complete amounts paid will be reimbursed to them through the same form of payment used.
INFORMATION ON THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
In accordance with current legislation (General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users and LSSI), the interested party has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days without providing any justification. The period is counted from the day the contract is signed. To exercise this right, the decision must be notified by email to
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal (Article 103):
The supply of accommodation services for purposes other than serving as housing, transport of goods, vehicle rental, food, or services related to leisure activities, if the contracts provide for a specific date or period of performance.
Course Expulsion Protocol
In order to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment, the following behaviours may constitute grounds for expulsion:
- Disrespectful behaviour towards teaching staff or fellow students.
- Attendance in class under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Behaviour that seriously disrupts the normal development of classes.
- Repeated failure to comply with the centre’s internal regulations.
- Conduct that endangers the safety or well-being of others.
Any incident will be reported to the Academic Coordinator and the Centre Management, who may apply preliminary measures (such as warnings or temporary suspension) or proceed directly with expulsion, following written notification to the student.
Expulsion will entail the loss of the right to attend classes from the specified date. A proportional refund of tuition fees will only be considered in cases where enrolment in the course is not linked to the granting of a visa.
